Direct selling is a system that uses the independent representative to sell products directly to customers by executing “door to door” and “party system” strategies. The more products you sell, the successfully you will be. Challenges might arise if a representative focuses too much on the brand and the product, rather than, the benefits the product will bring.

How do you go about getting consumers to see the benefits of your product? You could list them, but that’s kind boring, right? As a direct salesperson, you’re job is to understand the customer. The only way to understand the customer is by listening to them. Maybe the customer simply need one of the products that you’re selling, maybe the customer needs a package. Have the ability to customize a customers order is a benefit in itself.
