Celebrating the New Year with Ortanique’s Island Pig Roast

Have you ever wanted to go to a genuine island pig roast? On Saturday, January 24th, Ortanique, located in Camana Bay, celebrated the New Year with their Caja China Island Pig Roast. Of all the things to do in Grand Cayman (http://www.camanabay.com/the-town/play/), this was definitely a night to remember. What better way to ring in the New Year than with a bottomless food, wine, beer and mojito feast!

The feast featured Chef Mike of Ortanique’s, who grilled food throughout the evening on the Caja China Grill. The specialty cocktail of the night was Bacardi mojitos, which nicely accompanied the family style pig roast dinner. Music by DJ Glenroy was the only thing left to top-off the delectable food, drinks and company. DJ Glenroy performed all evening as people danced the night away.

Whether you were visiting Grand Cayman on vacation to fight cold temperatures or you live in Grand Cayman, it was a celebration of the New Year for everyone!

Ortanique’s award-winning chef and owner, Cindy Hutson has made a name for the restaurant in Grand Cayman. The restaurant specializes in Caribbean food with a twist. Ortanique uses the most local, farm fresh and organic fruits, vegetables and fish from Grand Cayman.

Ortanique created a special environment (http://www.ieyenews.com/wordpress/cayman-islands-decemberchristmasny-events-at-camana-bay/) for everyone on that Saturday evening. Tickets for the event were $75 per person for adults and $30 for kids under the age of 12. Look out for more events hosted by Ortanique in the future!
