Which deal to choose?
Groupon, Livingsocial, Deals, Homerun, Dealcatcher, Fatwallet, and many more. Since the first deal site, it seems as if thousands have appeared everywhere. Some offer deals exclusively on food, others on clothing, whilst others cover a wide range of areas. 50% off one deal, a coupon over a 40% reduction on the other, followed by the usual Buy one-get one off deals. In an environment where everyone still tries to save as much money as possible while not sacrificing his or her living standard, it becomes difficult to prioritize on what is the hottest deal. Is it the weekend-getaway, the fancy dinner, the boutique-shopping voucher, or the reduced concert ticket?
No matter what it end up being, it is hard to decide and prioritize on what the best option for spending ones money lies. The fear of making the right choice and realizing the opportunity cost can turn into a stressful deal-shopping trip. There is nobody that can assure that this money is well spent and even though one might have always wanted to spend a day at a spa, once the day rolls around, is there truly time and is a mud-bath worth spending half a day’s pay on? The stress of choosing the best option will continue as deal sites continue growing.
